National Security Law Association

The National Security Law Association is a group dedicated to facilitating the career aspirations of those students interested in national security and law enforcement. Contemporary events continue to emphasize the importance of security for the United States, its citizens, its economy, and the free world at large. Careers in the field of national security and law enforcement are among the most important and demanding available. Often they are difficult to come by, however, and entering the field during law school can be a frustrating process. Those students willing to dedicate their time, and often sacrifice higher salaries, to protect their neighbors and bring the world's most dangerous criminals to justice must be afforded every opportunity to participate in this endeavor. It is the NSLA's mission to facilitate this process.

The objectives of this organization are to:

• Increase LUC students’ exposure to the field of national security, private sector data/economic security, and domestic/international law enforcement through speakers, research, and events.
• Provide actionable information meant to increase the accessibility of national security careers and opportunities for dedicated students.
• Outline the various fields of national security and federal law enforcement and explore the contemporary issues surrounding the field.

Any and all students interested in, or simply curious about, the field of national security should feel welcome to attend NSLA events or to contact NSLA officers regarding interest in membership. LUC Law and the neighboring Chicago law schools generate some of the world’s best and brightest. It is our hope that all those who wish to serve and protect the free world be given the opportunity.
