Meet the future of MBA programs.

The Next Generation MBA is crafted to prepare you to be a data-driven business leader with the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. You'll also build a strong set of values to drive your business decisions and career.

The Next Generation MBA builds on the academic rigor Quinlan is known for. Our part-time MBA is among the top 3 programs in Chicago and No. 43 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report, 2024.

The Quinlan School of Business offers four MBA programs. Learn which one best fits your needs through our MBA guide.

Program Highlights

  • Unique curriculum: Our unique core classes help develop key skills that employers demand and tailored electives to build your MBA focus
  • Experiential learning: Don't just learn theory. Our program focuses on hands-on learning, including a required Business Consulting course with a real-world client
  • Top faculty: Our experienced, nationally recognized faculty are dedicated to teaching and research.
  • Global: Our international focus brings the world to the classroom.
  • STEM designation: With a national shortage of professionals trained in STEM related fields, employers are actively pursuing STEM degree holders. Distinguish yourself in business with a STEM-designated degree.
  • Jesuit Network: Easily transfer your credits to other Jesuit business schools through the Jesuit MBA Network if your career or life takes you outside of Chicago during your MBA program.

What You'll Learn

  • Data-driven decision making: The program will prepare you to gather, analyze, and use data to make business decisions.
  • Skills critical to your success: Leadership, communication, teamwork, and ethics are integral parts of our MBA program.

What you'll learn will prepare you not only for your next promotion, but for all your promotions over the course of your career. Basic technical knowledge will be outdated in a few years. Skills are yours forever.

Quinlan MBA graduates use their degrees to advance in their careers, moving into management and senior leadership positions in every sector, including:

Program Structure

Students with a bachelor’s degree in business can complete the Next Generation MBA program in as fast as a year. Students without foundational business courses or students who opt for a flexible pace can complete the MBA program in two years.

Classes are held weekday evenings and on Saturdays to fit into your busy schedule. Saturday classes are hybrid classes, meaning that they alternate between meeting in-person and online. On-campus classes are held on Loyola's Water Tower Campus, which is conveniently located off the Red Line in the heart of Chicago. The program is on a 10-week quarter system.

Curriculum

The MBA program includes eight required core courses and four electives for students with an undergraduate degree in business. Students without a business degree may need to complete additional prerequisites.

The core has been crafted to prepare students to understand data-driven decision making, as well as master the skills needed for a successful career. The four electives can be customized to your interests.
