LUC Mentors

Welcome! LUC Mentors is a program committed to helping undergraduate students explore the path to becoming a physician through one of three different mentoring programs, led by the 1st–4th year medical students at Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine.
The Mentoring Program | This is a traditional mentoring relationship where you will meet with your medical school mentor to ask questions about getting into medical school and what it’s like once you’re there. |
The Advising Program | This relationship is meant to be a short, one-time advice session through email, phone or in person, where premedical students and medical students can discuss a specific question about the med school application process, personal essays, scholarships, MCAT scores, applying to med school after undergrad, and more. |
The Shadowing Program | This program is designed to take pre-med students to Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine where they will shadow a current med school student and share their medical school experience |
To get started come to one of LUC Mentors’ info sessions, where LUC Mentors representatives will guide you through the process of pairing with a potential medical student mentor.
If you cannot come to an info session email an LUC Mentors’ representative lucmentors@luc.edu. To qualify as a mentee, you must be enrolled or an alumni of Loyola University Chicago.
