Olga Avedeyeva, PhD
Dr. Olga Avdeyeva’s teaching and research focuses on Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia. She conducted fieldwork in Poland and the Czech Republic to study gender equality regulations, in Russia to study public opinion and local politics, and in China, to conduct a survey experiment in China.

David Doherty, PhD
Dr. David Doherty has extensive experience conducting and analyzing surveys as well as designing and executing political experiments. Although his research focuses primarily on the U.S. context, he has also designed surveys that were fielded in Tunisia and published work on public attitudes in Latin America.

Brian Endless, PhD
Dr. Brian Endless, PhD has served as a consultant to the United Nations and groups affiliated with the UN for the past 30+ years. In addition, since 2007 he has been actively working on issues in Rwanda and East Africa. Over the past 10 years he has served as an expert witness on Federal court cases involving the Rwandan genocide in courts in the US, Canada and the Netherlands.

Alexandru Grigorescu, PhD
Dr. Alex Grigorescu's teaching and research focus on international organizations. Before his academic career, he served as a diplomat in the Romanian Foreign Ministry and was posted to the United Nations headquarters in New York, with the First Committee of the UN General Assembly. Over the years, he worked with and/or studied more than 30 international organizations.

Chris Hasselman, PhD
Dr. Chris Hasselmann’s teaching and research revolve around issues of institutional change with a regional interest in European politics. He has previously lived and conducted research in Germany, Hungary and the Czech Republic. He spent time at the German Institute for Economic Research in Berlin and Central European University in Budapest.

Tofigh Maboudi, PhD
Dr. Tofigh Maboudi’s regional expertise is on the Middle East and North Africa, where he has lived and conducted extensive field research. He was the co-leader of a series of American Political Science Association workshops in Morocco and Tunisia. Before pursuing his PhD, Dr. Maboudi worked for several international media outlets in Tehran, Iran.

Sarah Maxey, PhD
Dr. Sarah Maxey’s research and teaching focus on international relations and US foreign policy. She teaches classes on national security, American foreign policy, morality in war, and international relations theory. Her research focuses on public opinion towards the use of force and how democratic institutions shape foreign policy decisions. Prior to entering academia, she worked as the program director for a non-profit addressing issues of food, housing, and health insecurity.

Molly Melin, PhD
Dr. Molly Melin’s research and teaching interests are in the area of international and civil conflict and conflict management. She works with the Swedish Folke Bernodotte Academy to bridge the gap between research and policy. She has conducted research in Colombia, Northern Ireland, and Tunisia, and runs study abroad courses on peace and conflict in Bogotá and Belfast.

Kara Ross Camarena, PhD
Dr. Kara Ross-Camarena has done field work in Tanzania, Kenya, and Australia. She has consulted with a variety of private and government organizations on program evaluation and migration. Professor Camarena has published in War on the Rocks. She is a faculty affiliate at the Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.

Peter Schraeder, PhD
Dr. Peter Schraeder is current Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. His teaching draws on wide-ranging overseas experiences, having lived, lectured or carried out research in eighty-one countries and territories, including thirty-four in Africa. Fluent in English and French, Schraeder is involved in a number of international research networks, most notably in France and francophone Africa.
