WE ACCEPT APPLICATIONS for our MS Dietetics program (without dietetic internship) beginning on a rolling basis. The Admissions Committee reviews on a rolling basis approximately one month after the completed application has been submitted.
Application Form
The following are requirements for applicants:
1. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
Official transcripts of all undergraduate and any graduate coursework with a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and a certificate of completion of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) from an ACEND-accredited program. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in baccalaureate courses.
2. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
We require three letters of recommendation, preferably from a professional colleague or supervisor who has completed a master's or higher degree. If the applicant has been admitted to the dietetic internship within the last 12 months, the letters of recommendation that were submitted for the dietetic internship application may be used.
3. REGISTERED DIETITIAN CREDENTIAL
The Loyola Master of Science in Dietetics is intended to prepare credentialed Registered Dietitians to advance in their profession.
Eligibility for this program requires the applicant to currently hold the credential of Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or concurrently accepted into the Loyola Dietetic Internship.
4. OFFICIAL TEST SCORES (ONE OF GRE, MCAT, GMAT, OR LSAT)
Graduates with an advanced academic or professional degree (MD, DO, JD, PhD, ScD, etc.) from a U.S. or Canadian institution may request a GRE waiver. Waivers for other advanced degrees (MBA, MPH, MPP, MSW, etc.) will be considered on a case-by-case basis; waivers are generally granted if the degree is from an institution that required the applicant to take a graduate admissions test such as the GRE or MCAT. The GRE or other graduate entrance exam requirement may be waived if the applicant’s undergraduate GPA is above 3.0
5. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
