MS Health Informatics

Ready to apply? This is a good place to start.

WE ACCEPT APPLICATIONS for our online MS in Health Informatics program beginning in August. The Admission committee reviews and releases admission decisions on a rolling basis. To be considered for Fall entrance, it is suggested you submit completed application materials before July 15. Please note that we will accept applications on a rolling basis.

The following are requirements for applicants:

1. A COMPLETED APPLICATION

Loyola’s graduate admission application is free of cost.

2. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to matriculation Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
Completed bachelors degree and coursework in a field relevant to the discipline, e.g. computer science, biostatistics, public health, nursing, medicine, biology, etc. from an accredited university or college.
Overall GPA (3.0 or higher), and discipline-specific GPA (3.0 or higher).
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within the past four years can be considered but is not necessary.

3. TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

These recommendations should be one page in length, detail the reasons why the recommender thinks you would be a good fit for your program of choice, and explain why (based on experiences with you) the recommender believes you will be successful in a Health Informatics program.

4. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Highlight research and/or professional experience as they relate to the program, lab work as an undergraduate student, software developer experience for an EHR vendor, publication records etc.
