About
Heather earned her undergraduate degree at Loyola University Chicago (B.S. in Biology ‘00) and went on to do graduate work in plant biology at Washington University in St. Louis. After completing her Master’s degree, Heather worked in Career Advising and Planning Services at The University of Chicago, where she provided career guidance and professional development support for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. In 2011, Heather became the Assistant Director of Academic Advising in the Health Sciences at DePaul University, where she also did some adjunct teaching. Heather returned to Loyola as Assistant Dean for Student Services in 2019. Heather is an avid Doctor Who fan, reader of British literature (one of her children is named after Iris Murdoch), and gardener.
